Established in 1981 with the assistance of Canada through CIDA, SAPSRI follows a participatory approach in planning and impl<span class=”text_exposed_show”>ementation of development activities aimed mostly at empowering women (female-headed households’ widows and displaced) and youth in 10 districts in Sri Lank
We strive to identify hidden talents of our clientele, empower them, and build their capacity on social and economic responsibilities through the formation of a strong community-based organization, skill development through training and financial management before providing microfinance support for income-generating activities (IGA) of their choice. Putting money into women’s pockets is indeed safe.
