International women’s day 2024

On March 11, 2024, the South Asia Partnership – Sri Lanka, in collaboration with the Hambantota District Secretariat Division (DSD), hosted a celebration for International Women’s Day from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM as part of the Small and Medium Entrepreneurship Development (SMED) program. The event welcomed approximately 200 women and featured guest speakers including Mr. Prasanna Premaratne (Chairman of SAPSRI), Ms. C.M.S. Jayamanna (Board Member of SAPSRI), and Ms. Dinithi Rathnayake (Board Member of SAPSRI). Attendees enjoyed a small fair showcasing their products and SAPSRI’s mobilization and credit support activities.

Renowned speakers and experts shared insights, inspiring participants to pursue their goals. The event fostered networking opportunities, allowing women to connect and form collaborations, nurturing a supportive community of entrepreneurs.
